The lender requires two or three years of stay time in the UK, so they have a good understanding of the client’s credit history and how you repay the loan. Build a credit history based on your financial activities in the UK
Key Factors for Morgage
- Credit History: The most important factor for a mortgage is credit history. How responsible to pay your bills and dues its an impact on your credit history.
- Visa Status: for non-UK citizens, Lenders require a minimum of 2 to years remaining, some lenders require one-year history but they charge high interest on the mortgage
- Employment and Income: A steady job and a regular income are crucial. Lenders want to see evidence that you can afford the mortgage payments.
- Deposit: Saving a bigger deposit can improve your chances of approval. Non-UK residents might be asked for a higher deposit, sometimes up to 25% or more.
- Bank Account: You need a UK bank account to handle payments and show financial stability.
Exceptions for Certain Applicants
If you have a strong financial profile, then you can find relaxation from lenders. Like if you have a good salary or have a secure profession. For a doctor or accountant, the shortest stay time will not mainly issue in a mortgage.
